It’s not often that I’m lost for words, as those of you who know me well will testify.
However, an unexpected email I received yesterday has left me speechless.
As many of you know, I’m a member of the Garden Media Guild – a professional organisation for those involved in garden writing and photography.
Every year in November they hold an annual awards ceremony with categories ranging from Journalist of the Year, and Practical Journalist of the Year, to Features Photographer of the Year, and Garden Book of the Year.
I usually enter without any real expectation of winning. But this year, The Chatty Gardener has been shortlisted in the Blog or Vlog of the Year!
The full list has yet to be published and I know there will be stiff competition. So, I don’t expect to go any further but that doesn’t matter. It’s enough just to have recognition from my professional peers.
So, thank you to all of you who have followed me for the past seven years and wish me luck next month!
