I definitely need something cheerful this week after the weekend’s weather. Gardening plans had to be laid aside as the rain kept coming down.
Daffodils never fail to make me smile although I can’t decide if I really like these with the pink-tinged trumpets. I planted them years ago so the name is long lost.

I must admit I am undecided about the pink ones. Daffodils just scream yellow, though I do like the pure white ones too. Pink just seems insipid.
I know what you mean. I prefer the pale lemon or creamy daffs – not too keen on strident yellow unless it’s one of the smaller, dainty varieties. At least these have only a touch of pink.
