  1. There’s something so delightfully old-fashioned about these plants….I remember them fondly from my childhood; always there, but rarely, if ever, talked about by our Head Gardener (my father!) with the same love he bestowed upon his lupins and roses for example!
    I now have borders dotted with clumps of these, again, mostly self-seeded, and love the way they fight their way through the emerging perennials to flower first!

    1. They are certainly tough – I love that the slugs and snails leave them alone. Always a bonus. 🙂
