Cheering Up Mondays #362

After the past week’s weather a glimpse of summer is needed for this week’s cheerful flower.

I’ve no idea of the name of this hollyhock.

I can’t remember ever sowing these. It must have been many years ago. They now self-seed in a range of colours all down one side of the gravel where we park. It’s very poor soil but they don’t seem to mind.

Hollyhocks are a big part of summer in the Cotswolds and many of the cottage gardens have them.
