Cheering Up Mondays #252

Today’s bit of floral cheer is something that was an unexpected delight this summer.

Daucus carota ‘Dara’.

I originally sowed the seed last summer but nothing came up. Then, in autumn, I noticed one tiny plant. Surprisingly, it survived the winter and produced these fabulous blooms.

A second sowing this year was more successful and I’ve been picking the flowers for the house for weeks.
