The first of the season for this week’s cheerful flower.
The first of the dahlias has started to flower, a rather beautiful pink variety. It’s labelled as ‘Wine Eyed Jill’ but I’m not sure that’s correct. It may be that it will develop a paler, more creamy colour as it opens. We shall see.
