A rather beautiful mystery flower is this week’s choice for Cheering Up Mondays.
This lovely cosmos was among a batch of seedlings given to me by a friend who had grown them from saved the seed. We think it’s probably ‘Cupcakes’ but could be a cross. Lovely either way.

I have a lovely garden of cosmos that sprouted surrounding my compost bin, placed on a gravel driveway section! It has been such fun to watch all summer. This drive is a permeable mix of gravel, rock dust and dirt so these delicate flowers must have super strong roots to have found a home here!
I love it when plants plant themselves – they’re often much happier than anything I put in.
