Cheering Up Mondays #380

This week’s cheerful flower heralds the start of the dahlia season and the first of the 2023 blooms.

Dahlia ‘Totally Tangerine’.

They’ve been slow to get going this year but I’ve now got a couple of flowers and lots more in bud. Anyone else think the dahlia season is slow?

  1. What a lovely photo! My ‘Totally Tangerine ‘ has been in flower for a couple of weeks, together with one or two Bishops, but the rest seem to be taking forever. The last few wet weeks have seen a lot more growth though. At least they are still something to look forward to:)

    1. They are really slow this year. I wonder if it was the cold spring that’s held them back. I’ve got a couple of others in flower but the rest are way behind.
