Cheering Up Mondays #345

I can’t believe how long the dahlias are lasting this year.

Dahlia ‘Wine Eyed Jill’.

On the one hand, it’s rather lovely to be still picking in November but it does show how our climate is changing, which is worrying.

There’s still no sign of a frost in our forecast so I have yet to dig them up for the winter.

  1. This time last year a one off frost in October annihilated the dahlias and a lot of bedding. This year we have three vases of flowers from the garden of Dahlias, chrysanthemums, Roses and Zinnias. It is concerning if the weather is to continue this way,. but also an utter joy to have this amount of colour for this time of year compared to last.

    1. Yes, I’ve lost the dahlias early for the past two years so, you’re right it is lovely to still have flowers.
