Cheering Up Mondays #250

This very nearly missed this year’s garden party.

Cobaea scandens

I sowed it in the spring and the plants have made good growth, just no flowers – until this week. Still welcome, if somewhat late.

  1. I had the same problem with cobea a couple of years ago. But at Chelsea Physic Garden Amazingly it can survive over winter!! And at Rosemoor last week it was a mass of blooms over an arch- stunning- multiple plants I think!
    I enjoy your posts, thanks.

    1. It’s the first time I’ve grown it. I’m going to leave it in the ground – it’s got two chances! I’m not confident though as the garden is pretty cold over winter. We shall see.

    1. And some! It’s definitely a plant hellbent on taking over the world. I’m trying to get mine to climb the fence but it seems to prefer the border in front. It can make up to 20ft. 🙂
