Cheering Up Mondays #233

This is a bit of a thug in my garden, self-seeding around at will.

However, it shrugs off the weather, seems impervious to slugs and snails, and puts up with my sandy soil, so it’s welcome. And who could resist those flowers?

The name has been lost but it’s a form of mallow.

  1. Not sure as your photos don’t show the leaves but could be Malva moschata. It has finely divided leaves and there’s a nice white form as well as this pink one. I like both.

    1. I think it might be although a couple of people on Instagram have suggested sidalcea. It’s difficult to find pictures of the foliage online to check. My plant does have divided foliage. Teach me not to keep better records!
