The first Cheering up Mondays flower of September and there’s a real hint of autumn in the air.
Japanese anemones are one of autumn’s stars. This is one in my mum’s garden, name unknown but a real beauty.

Looks a bit like Prinz Heinrik we inherited it… Can be a little bit too successful !
Seems to be weedkiller proof. Managed to rid our garden of ground elder and Japanese knotweed this however, seems to be more resilient than either!
Ooh, could be. Seems to be fairly well-behaved in Mum’s garden. At least, so far!
