The original Tulipa ‘Ronaldo’.
I’ve finally finished planting all the bulbs – and I kept the list shorter than usual! For many years, I’ve grown Tulipa ‘Ronaldo’ having first been given it as a ‘free gift’ with an order. As you can see, it’s a beauty.
This year, Peter Nyssen where I buy most of my bulbs, had ‘Ronaldo Unique’ instead. Evidently, it’s a more robust form. I’m looking forward to seeing it flower.

I find it so hard to resist tulips.
I love Ronaldo (though I am sure mine looked much darker than this photo). In fact I love all tulips but especially the darker ones. I am hoping my Paul Scherer return this year. You never know!
