This week’s cheerful flower is something I’ve been waiting to see all summer. I was beginning to give up hope.
It’s been a pretty poor year for dahlias – an extremely slow start and then a random frost that nipped the top of the plants despite a fleece covering.
This is rather lovely though and worth the long wait.
