Cheering Up Mondays #509

Something that seems to be flowering earlier every year for this week’s cheerful flower.

Euphorbia characias subsp. wulfenii,

I know strictly speaking these are bracts not flowers but they are lovely regardless and a real blast of zingy colour on grey winter days. It’s supposed to ‘flower’ from early spring but has been covered in these limey green bracts for weeks – not sure I class January as early spring.

  1. Enjoyed your talk last evening on zoom, especially the comments of how crowded Chelsea flower show has become. We watch the people free show on TV sipping the best bubbly…far more informative, enjoyable and cheaper than going in person. Maybe see you at malvern show BWJean Wykes
