Cheering Up Mondays #500

Something a little different for today’s cheerful flower.

Salvia rosmarinus.

Rosemary is grown for its culinary leaves rather the dainty violet blue flowers. However, it’s also for remembrance and as it’s my mum’s funeral today it seemed apt. It’s the second family funeral in 10 days and I need all the floral cheer I can get.

My rosemary bush is in full flower at the moment despite last week’s cold snap.

  1. You have my condolences. I don’t often post on blogs, but do enjoy yours. I hadn’t realised that rosemary was now part of the salvia family.

  2. Oh Mandy, I’m so sorry to read your news. Thinking of you today. And what an apt choice of plant to remember and cherish.
So sorry we didn’t have longer to chat on Friday – till next time. X
