Cheering Up Mondays #499

Today’s cheerful flower has been adding some colour to the garden for the past few weeks.

Kniphofia rooperi.

It’s a really good late flowering kniphofia that starts to flower just as most things are beginning to fade. I grow it among Stipa gigantea and love the orange against the biscuit-coloured grass flowers.

  1. Thank you for this – with all the trying/tedious/difficult things I have to attend to today, the colours of this bloom provided some much needed uplift
