Cheering Up Mondays #487

I’ve waited more than a year to see this week’s cheerful flower.

(Ad) I was given this dahlia last spring by bulb and plant suppliers Peter Nyssen but, unfortunately, the resident slugs and snails decided they rather liked it! So, I spent last year nursing what was left of the plant before storing the tuber over winter.

This summer’s heat has stopped my slimy foes in their tracks and the dahlia has finally flowered – well worth the wait.
