Cheering Up Mondays #484

One of the standout stars from this year’s Gardening Trials for today’s cheerful flower.

Delphinium consolida ‘Misty Lavender’.

This rather lovely annual larkspur was given to me to trial by Suttons and has beautiful grey-lilac flowers. Perfect for a Monday morning.

  1. My cheering up Monday plant today is Platycodon grandiflorus, such a bonny, bright blue little perennial with intriguing balloon buds.
Thank you for your weekly Monday cheer. It’s such a good start to the week.

    1. It’s made about eight inches tall – the drought and my rubbish soil may have had an effect. Also been ignored by the slugs/snails though again the weather has helped there. They are far small, more dainty plants than true delphiniums and annuals.
