Cheering Up Mondays #466

There’s was really only one thing that could be this week’s cheerful flower.

This mystery tulip is the first to flower.

This is the first tulip to flower in my garden although several others are hot on its heels. I just wish I knew which it was – I label only bulbs in pots as otherwise the garden is covered in labels.

A strong candidate is ‘World Friendship’, which I bought a few years ago but I’m not sure as it seems a bit early for that variety to be in flower. Whatever the name, it’s rather lovely.

For a weekly dose of floral cheer, just add your name to my mailing list.

  1. My first tulips to open are also yellow, but the lily type, possibly West Point though I was sent some yellow flowers a couple of years ago by SR by mistake so it could be them! It’s just a joy to see the tulips, whatever the name.
