There’s was really only one thing that could be this week’s cheerful flower.

This is the first tulip to flower in my garden although several others are hot on its heels. I just wish I knew which it was – I label only bulbs in pots as otherwise the garden is covered in labels.
A strong candidate is ‘World Friendship’, which I bought a few years ago but I’m not sure as it seems a bit early for that variety to be in flower. Whatever the name, it’s rather lovely.
For a weekly dose of floral cheer, just add your name to my mailing list.
Lovely, I have some that are keen to arrive this year.
The sunshine is certainly bringing them on. I just hope they don’t go over too quickly.
My first tulips to open are also yellow, but the lily type, possibly West Point though I was sent some yellow flowers a couple of years ago by SR by mistake so it could be them! It’s just a joy to see the tulips, whatever the name.
So true! Just hoping they don’t go over too quickly in the sun.
