Cheering Up Mondays #463

There’s something rather admirable about these seemingly delicate flowers that shrug off winter weather. They’ve been flowering for weeks and are ideal for today’s Cheering Up Mondays spot.

Crocus ‘King of the Striped’.

Over the past week, these have been laid low by hard frost, battered by rain and yet they still pick themselves up and keep going. There’s a lesson there.

  1. Don’t you just admire these early spring bulbs that look so fragile, yet are actually quite strong. That is until the rain and wind beat them down. I must buy some of these ones this year as my crocuses seem to be disappearing.
