Cheering Up Mondays #458

There’s something about winter flowers that’s especially cheerful and these beauties are among the best.

Crocus sieberi ‘Firefly’.

I always worry that these won’t come up – think resident squirrel and mice – so the first sight of them determinedly pushing through the ground is always very welcome. I particularly like this variety for the two-tone colour. They’re a bit mud splattered but still rather beautiful.
