It had to be a rose for today’s cheerful flower as I’m off to the launch of the Rose of the Year 2024 tomorrow.
The choice of Rosa ‘Geoff Hamilton’ also seemed apt. BBC Gardeners’ World Live is on this week and it will include a special celebration to mark the 40th anniversary of Geoff Hamilton’s Barnsdale Gardens, the setting for his time as the Gardeners’ World lead presenter.
