This house and garden are one of the many reasons I have given up my membership of the NatTrust. It is completely against the original ethos of the Trust and tragic to see the disgraceful neglect of the last generation being compounded by the Trust. Centuries of beautiful furniture and artefacts are being slowly destroyed. A deeply depressing place to visit
It’s certainly not to everyone’s taste. I think that’s why the Trust are keen to explain their reasons for what they are doing.
